Topper Says

Waking up with a sore throat, a runny nose or an annoying cough is no fun, especially if you have to get up and go to school. But here are a few tips from my friends at Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital that can help reduce your chances of getting sick:
  • Always wash your hands with soap and water after wiping your nose or before eating.
  • Don’t share drinks or use the same eating utensils as anyone else.
  • Sneeze or cough into a tissue and toss it into the trash.
  • Get plenty of sleep and eat lots of fruits and vegetables.

Remember if you do get sick, your mom, dad or doctor can give you medicine to help make you feel better, and eating a balanced diet, making sure you get plenty of sleep and getting regular exercise will have you feeling well in no time.
